Jonathan Stahler is a public affairs and political strategist with 25 years of experience across Capitol Hill, the Executive Branch and the non-profit and campaign sectors.

Before founding Harbor Light Strategies, Jonathan served as Chief of Staff to the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, managing strategy and operations for the 150-person U.S. Mission and advising the Ambassador in her role as a member of the President’s Cabinet.

He previously spent nearly two decades in the U.S. Senate, including as Chief of Staff to Senator Chris Coons of Delaware, where he oversaw legislative, communications, administrative and political operations and helped shape key policy and organizational priorities.

He also served as principal advisor to Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana on economic and education policy. Earlier, he worked as an education policy advocate at the Children’s Defense Fund and a grassroots organizer for Senator Tim Johnson’s reelection campaign.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. A proud Bostonian, he remains a loyal Red Sox and Patriots fan.
